This policy explains what data Stratuz (“the app”) handles and how. Stratuz is developed by Ricardo F. Teixeira, an independent developer (“I”, “me”).
In short: Stratuz has no servers of its own. I do not collect, receive, store, sell or share your personal data. Everything the app keeps stays on your device.
Data the app handles
| Data | What it is used for | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your Google account email address | Showing which account is signed in, and making sure the library is used with one Google account at a time | On your device only |
| Google sign-in credentials (access tokens) | Accessing the Google Drive files you picked | On your device only, in the system’s secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) or managed by Google Play services |
| Google Drive files you pick | Playing them, and downloading them when you ask the app to | Played directly from Google to your device; downloaded copies are kept in the app’s private storage on your device |
| Files on your device you pick | Playing them | The app keeps a link to the file, not a copy |
| Your library: folders, entry names, edited information, cover images you choose, playback positions and speeds | Making the app work | In a local database and the app’s private storage on your device |
The app does not use analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking of any kind.
Google user data
Stratuz signs in with Google and asks only for these permissions (scopes):
drive.file— access only to the specific Google Drive files you choose in the file picker. The app cannot see, list or open any other file in your Drive.openidandemail— your basic account identity and email address, used as described above.
The app only reads the files you pick. It never creates, modifies, moves or deletes anything in your Google Drive.
Data obtained from Google APIs is used only to provide the app’s features to you, on your device. It is never transferred to me or to any third party, never used for advertising, never sold, and never used to develop, improve or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. No human reads it.
Stratuz’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Third parties
When you use Google Drive through the app, your device talks directly to Google’s servers, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to that. The app stores (Google Play and the App Store) may collect data under their own policies when you download the app.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it:
- Sign out in the app to remove the sign-in credentials. Your library is kept.
- Remove downloads from the app’s storage screen to delete downloaded copies.
- Uninstall the app to delete everything it stored, including your library. There is no backup.
- Revoke access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Because I have no copy of your data, there is nothing for me to delete on my side.
Security
Sign-in credentials are kept in the operating system’s secure storage, and all communication with Google uses encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Children
Stratuz is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly handle data from them.
